Our Management Process
Initial Consultation and Assessment
The initial assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that is focused on obtaining an accurate psychiatric diagnosis and identifying symptoms for treatment, whether medication is or isn’t a part of the treatment plan. This assessment generally takes 45-60 minutes.
Medication Management
Dr. Kaderin is experienced in this approach in which she will provide patients the necessary information regarding symptoms and diagnosis. She will offer extensive education regarding a patient’s individualized treatment plan and medication regimen as well. Her philosophy for treatment involves using the least amount of psychiatric medication possible while still effectively managing patient symptoms. Before she prescribes medication, Dr. Kaderin will thoroughly inform patients of the symptoms the medication is targeting and the desired outcomes, as well as any possible side effects or risks of the medication. Alternative medications are discussed based on patient needs.
Individualized Treatment
Every patient will receive a customized treatment plan tailored to their individual needs. This will involve a plan for medication management as well as the frequency of appointments recommended for each patient which will be agreed upon by both Dr. Kaderin and the patient. Follow-up appointments after the initial assessment generally last 30-45 minutes. The frequency of appointments and medication will be adjusted on an individual basis.
